In one of my former blogs I wrote about a young man, a friend of mine, Daan, and about his courageous fight against cancer. Unfortunately last saturday Daan lost his fight. Therefore I would like to dedicate this blog to him, as it was thanks to Daan I finally started to blog in the first place.
I got to know Daan by accidentally reading about his blog in his sisters's column. I had never read this column before. Daan's blog website caught my eye and I started reading all his blogs. He had an amazing sense of humour and he could always find the right words to nail down any situation.
All of us can learn so much from his inspiring words, his brave fight but above all we can learn so much from his attitude towards his dis-ease, his positivism and his enthousiasm about everything.
Do yourself a favor and read all his blogs. I'm convinced you too will be moved by his words and maybe it will also change your life for the better. He has touched so many lives and as long as people keep on reading his amazing blog he will continue to do so.
Dear Daan, my dear friend I hope you are being a wonderful guardian angel up there and that you'll keep us all safe! Please do be careful and avoid the electric wires when you spread your wings and visit us down here :-)
